Bamboo products are available in various styles. The style originates from the production process in which the bamboo stems are processed into bamboo products.

Plain Pressed Caramel

The style Plain Pressed originates from bamboo strips that are positioned horizontally and flat when they are glued together into a bamboo flooring board or panel. This results in a bamboo board with a wide line pattern in which the characteristic bamboo nodes are clearly visible.

Side Pressed Caramel

High Density® Caramel

The style High Density® originates from bamboo strips that are compressed and glued together under high pressure into a bamboo flooring board or panel. The characteristic bamboo nodes are only slightly visible and the appearance High Density® resembles hardwood with a flamed structure. Thanks to the compression under high pressure, the density of the bamboo material greatly increases. Therefore, High Density® flooring and panels are harder than other styles.

High Density® Quartz White

The style High Density® wood look is created by using a heavy roller on the bamboo flooring boards. By then applying color pigments a special look is created. The appearance of wood is imitated to answer contemporary trends and market requests. The bamboo line pattern and bamboo nodes are no longer visible. Thanks to the compression under high pressure, the density of the bamboo material greatly increases. Therefore, High Density® flooring and panels are harder than other styles.

High Density® Chocolate

The style High Density® heat treated originates from bamboo strips that are compressed and heat treated at 200°C when they are glued together under high pressure into a bamboo board or panel. The heat treatment gives the product a warm, dark brown color. The characteristic bamboo nodes are only slightly visible and the appearance High Density® resembles hardwood with a flamed structure. Outdoors, it will naturally turn grey over time without further treatment. Thanks to the compression under high pressure, the density of the bamboo material greatly increases. Therefore, High Density® heat treated flooring and panels are harder than other styles. The heat treatment process provides the highest durability class possible and High Density® heat treated bamboo can be used outdoors.

Bamboo Forest

The style Forest uniquely shows bamboo as it grows. The bamboo stem is not divided into strips, but compressed to a flat top layer of bamboo flooring. The floor will get an authentic look with bamboo stems in which the bamboo nodes are highly visible. Forest allows the natural beauty of bamboo stems to be visible in a very robust bamboo flooring.

MOSO® offers various finishes for its bamboo products to answer preferences of customers in terms of aesthetics, durability and functionality.

An unfinished bamboo product has to be finished after installation with a preferred lacquer, wax or oil.

A lacquer finish creates a strong protection layer on the bamboo product. MOSO® uses products from the leading brands Bona and Treffert for the pre-lacquered flooring boards. Bona lacquers are easy in maintenance with worldwide available Bona cleaner and polish.

An extra matt lacquer finish creates a strong protection layer on the bamboo product without giving it a glossy appearance. MOSO® uses products from the leading brand Bona for these pre-lacquered flooring boards that are easy in maintenance with worldwide available Bona cleaner and polish.

Depending on the specific requirements of the customer, a certain method of installation for the MOSO® bamboo products may be preferred. With 11 flooring collections there is always a MOSO® bamboo floor type that meets the requirements. MOSO® Bamboo X-treme outdoor products can be installed in several ways.
With floating installation the bamboo floor boards 'float' above the subfloor; they will not be nailed or glued to the under layer. The boards are glued in the tongue and groove. The advantage compared to full gluing is a quicker and less expensive installation. Because of the possible movement (shrink / swell) of the floating floor, this installation method is not recommended for large areas. The maximum continuous width of certain floating MOSO® bamboo floor is 8 meters.

The maximum continuous width of a floating bamboo floor is 8 meters.
With fully glued installation the bamboo flooring planks are glued to a subfloor. This reduces the movement of the material. The cost of fully glueing is higher than that of floating installation. We recommend the installation of a fully glued floor by a specialist.

Most MOSO® bamboo floors can be installed (fully glued) on floor heating, when following the conditions MOSO® has listed for this special installation. To fully glue the bamboo floor, glue needs to be applied to the subfloor with a trowel. After this each board is placed onto the glue to strongly attach it to the under layer. More information about installation on floor heating

For installation of MOSO® Bamboo X-treme to the under construction, we recommend the use of installation clips, which enables ‘invisible’ installation, without damaging the planks and leading to a better looking result compared to using screws. By using clips, instead of screws, less fixation points are required, providing a time and cost benefit.
MOSO® Bamboo X-treme can be fixed with screws. In contrast to the fastening with clips, the screw fixing is usually visible. The bamboo material is very hard and thus has to be pre-drilled.
