in a bio-based economy
Get inspired by MOSO's sustainability expert, Dr. Pablo van der Lugt
MOSO's Head of Sustainability Dr. Pablo van der Lugt presents his key note plenary lecture "Required Transition Towards Bio-Based Economy – A Case for Engineered Bamboo" at the Green Building Council Convention 2017 in Cape Town. During the convention and in special CPD presentations for architects in the days after the convention, he shares his knowledge about bamboo in an inspiring way.
Bamboo plays an interesting and increasing role in sustainable building projects all over the world. With good reason: the world's fastest growing plant gives products with hardwood characteristics, but without the deforestration associated with the use of traditional tropical timber. Recent innovations increase the possible applications of bamboo in building, décor and construction. Presentation by Pablo van der Lugt, Head of Sustainability at MOSO International BV and Lecturer at Delft University, Netherlands.
